2010 LIBERTY CUP UPDATES
29 March - We did not receive any emails from Friday afternoon through Monday night due to FastQ server failure. We now are receiving emails and will respond as soon as possible. - We can fill orders for Liberty Cup white t-shirts and black sweatshirts in all sizes, and have gray sweatshirts and t-shirts in most sizes. Ordering details are on the “Merchandise” page.
28 March - Complete results for Saturday and partial results for Sunday are posted. - FPCY will fill post-tournament Liberty Cup merchandise orders on a first-come first-served basis. Details are on the “Merchandise” page. - Lost and Found items will be held for two weeks, then donated to a charity organization. Send an email to travel.tournament@fpycsoccer.org to check for any lost and found items. - The tournament server has been down part of this weekend, so we have not received any emails since Friday afternoon. We will respond to all emails as soon as possible. - FPYC appreciates feedback on the 2010 Liberty Cup. All Coaches, Team Managers / POCs, and parents are welcome to submit a tournament survey by clicking on the link on the “Survey” page.

26 March
- Teams that missed last night’s registeration can register tonight at 7:30 at the FPYC Clubhouse. MD, WV, and PA teams may register at their game field before thier first game on Saturday. (No one will be at the Clubhouse Saturday morning.) - Corrected directions to Green Acres Community Center (U11/12 games): 4401 Sideburn Rd, Fairfax CityNOVA, 13 J-12
- From 495 take I-66 West to Route 123 towards Fairfax. Continue on Route 123 through Fairfax City, turn left on Armstrong St, turn right on Sideburn, road ends at school. - From 123 and Braddock Rd: go north on Route 123, turn right on Armstrong St, turn right on Sideburn, road ends at school. - Note: Sideburn Rd does not go through to Braddock Rd.
- U16/19B group W schedule changed. - Green Acres Community Center is the only field that will be affected by today’s rain. All games at Green Acres will be cancelled if the field is closed. - Washington Freedom staff will be handing out fliers at Patriot Park and Spring Hill Park on Sunday morning, which include a discount for the Home Opener on April 10th (7 PM).
25 March
- The U13G schedule has changed, and the U12B Group J schedule was corrected. - All teams that did not register Wednesday evening must register Thursday evening, unless other arrangements have been coordinated w/ the Tournament Director. Teams with long travel times may request an alternate registration time by sending an email to travel.tournament@fpycsoccer.org.
24 March
- A U16B team has withdrawn. Any U16B or U17B team interested in taking their spot should send an email to travel.tournament@fpycsoccer.org.
22 March
- Schedules moved to the “Schedules” page. Click the “refresh button” on your browser when on the schedules page to ensure you see the current schedules. - An email was sent to all coaches, team managers and anyone that submitted a Contact Form (link on left) at 9 AM this morning. Any coaches or team managers that do not receive it should send an email to travel.tournament@fpycsoccer.org. - All teams must register this week at the FPYC Clubhouse. Girls registration is 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM on Wendesday (3/24).. Boys registration, and girls make-up, is 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM on Thursday (3/25). Teams with long travel distances may make alternative registration arrangements by sending an email to travel.tournament@fpycsoccer.org. - The FPYC Clubhouse is in Providence Park in Fairfax City (VA.NOVA, 13, H-11) Providence Park does not have a street address, but the closest street address is 10722 West Dr, Fairfax, VA 22030.
- From Rt 123 and Main Street in Fairfax City: Go south on 123 to West Drive, turn right, go straight at the stop sign, follow road to the left and enter the Providence Park. - From Braddock Rd and Rt 123 by GMU: Go north on 123 to West Drive turn left, go straight at the stop sign, follow road to the left and enter the Providence Park. - From 495: Take Route 66 West to Route 123 South into Fairfax City. Travel past the Old Courthouse and Massey Building, turn right onto West Drive at traffic light. Go straight on West Drive to entrance of Providence Park.

- All teams must register before the Liberty Cup. Girls registration is 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM on Wendesday, 3/24. Boys registration, and girls make-up, is 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM on Thursday, 3/25. Both registrations are at the FPYC Clubhouse in Fairfax City. Teams with long travel distances may make alternative registration arrangements by sending an email to travel.tournament@fpycsoccer.org. - Field directions hav been updated with all 2010 Liberty Cup fields.
14 March
- Schedules are posted on the “Documents” page. Any changes will be posted on the website. The date of the current schedule is noted on each age group (top and bottom).
11 March
- The list of Liberty Cup teams was corrected. - Schedules will be published this weekend. The last Sunday games are at 5:00 for most groups, although some groups have 6:15 games. Some U9/10 groups have 7:30 games on Saturday and Sunday, in order to put all games on the artificial turf at Patriot Park. - The Reston Sheraton has offered Liberty Cup teams a special rate of $65 a night. Details are included in this pdf file.

- All applied teams have been accepted, and the accepted teams list will be published shortly. - Liberty Cup t-shirt/sweatshirt pre-orders are due 7 March. We sent an email to all Liberty Cup Team Managers and Coaches this morning. - U10B/G will play at Patriot Park West (Rt 123 and Braddock Rd). - U11B/G and U12B/G will play at Stafford Park and Drapper Park in Fairfax City. - U13 to U19 age group game sites are not yet determined.
27 February
- Tournament staff is working to respond to all of the recent applications by Saturday evening (2/27). - Interested teams should fax/email their application as soon as possible, since we can still accept teams in several age groups.

- Liberty Cup t-shirts, sweatshirts, and soccer flannel pants can be pre-ordred by submiting the order form on the Merchandise page. Pre-orders must be submitted by 7 March (fax, email, US mail). Teams will pick-up and pay for pre-orders at team registration. . - All team POCs and Coaches should complete the “Contact” form (link on left) to ensure they receive all tournament updates. - We still have room for an aditional team or two in most age groups. - Current plan is to have ALL GAMES ON ARTIFICIAL FIELDS, so that the snow and weaterh will not be an issue.
21 February
- A test email was sent this morning to all Coaches and Team Representatives listed on the application forms. Any Coach or Team Representative that does not receive the test email by Monday evening should email travel.tournament@fpycsoccer.org. - Anyone that completes the Contact Form (link on left) will be added to the tournament email list.
19 February
- Application deadline is extended to 26 February due to mail interruptions and delays in other tournaments finalizing accepted teams. - Application forms should be faxed or emailed, while the application fee check is mailed with a copy of the application form.

- VYSA tournament sanctioning is posted on the documents page. - Tournament staff replied by email to applications received by 20 January. - Teams that participated in the 2009 Liberty Cup are eligible for a $75 discount on the 2010 Liberty Cup, if they did not use the discount for the 2009 Patriot Cup. - Tournament rules corrected to allow 22 player roster for U16-19 teams.
22 December - Application form posted on website. All applications must be delivered to the Tournament Director by 8 PM on 19 February. - Application fees are $525 for U9-U11 and $625 for U12-U19. U12 teams will have three-man referee crews.
October 16th - The 2010 Liberty Cup Invitational will be held on 27-28 March 2010. Tournament applications are due by 26 February. - Additional details will be published soon.
