2010 LIBERTY CUP UPDATES

8 March

- The list of Liberty Cup teams is posted on the Documents page.
- Tentative tournament sites are:
     U9/10s: Patriot Park (artificial turf)
     U11/12s: Drapper Park (artificial turf), Stafford Park (artificial turf),
               and Green Acres Community Center (grass)
     U13 Boys: Greenbriar Park (artificial turf), Poplar Tree Park (artificial turf)
     U13/14 Girls: Spring Hill (artificial turf)
     U15/16 Girls: South Run Park (artificial turf)
     U16/19 Boys: Hutchison Park (artificial turf)
     U17/18 Girls: Fairfax HS
- Field directions are posted on the Documents page.
 

3 March

- All applied teams have been accepted, and the accepted teams list will be published shortly.
- Liberty Cup t-shirt/sweatshirt pre-orders are due 7 March. Details are on the Merchandise page (link on left). We sent an email to all Liberty Cup Team Managers and Coaches this morning.
- U10B/G will play at Patriot Park West (Rt 123 and Braddock Rd).
- U11B/G and U12B/G will play at Stafford Park and Drapper Park in Fairfax City.
- U13 to U19 age group game sites are not yet determined.
 

27 February

- Tournament staff is working to respond to all of the recent applications by Saturday evening (2/27).
- Interested teams should fax/email their application as soon as possible, since we can still accept teams in several age groups.
 

24 February

- Liberty Cup t-shirts, sweatshirts, and soccer flannel pants can be pre-ordred by submiting the order form on the Merchandise page. Pre-orders must be submitted by 7 March (fax, email, US mail).  Teams will pick-up and pay for pre-orders at team registration. .
- All team POCs and Coaches should complete the “Contact” form (link on left) to ensure they receive all tournament updates. Parents and others can receive tournament updates as well by completing the “Contact” form
 

22 February

- We still have room for an aditional team or two in most age groups.
- Current plan is to have ALL GAMES ON ARTIFICIAL FIELDS, so that the snow and weaterh will not be an issue.
 

21 February

- A test email was sent this morning to all Coaches and Team Representatives listed on the application forms. Any Coach or Team Representative that does not receive the test email by Monday evening should email travel.tournament@fpycsoccer.org.
- Anyone that completes the Contact Form (link on left) will be added to the tournament email list.
 

19 February

- Application deadline is extended to 26 February due to mail interruptions and delays in other tournaments finalizing accepted teams.
- Application forms should be faxed or emailed, while the application fee check is mailed with a copy of the application form.
 

14 February

- Tournament staff have replied by email to all applications received by 14 Feb.
 

8 February

- Tournament staff have replied by email to all applications received by 4 Feb. Hopefully the postal service can get to the mail box today.
- All team POCs and Coaches should complete the “Contact” form (link on left) to ensure they receive all tournament updates. Parents and others can receive tournament updates as well by completing the “Contact” form
 

3 February

- Tentative tournament sites with artificial fields include: Baileys ES, Draper Dr Park (8v8), Fairfax HS, Franconia Park, Greenbriar Park, Hutchison Park, Lake Fairfax Park, Lee District Park, Patriot Park (7v7), Poplar Tree Park, South Run Park, Spring Hill Park, and Stafford Park (8v8).

- VYSA tournament sanctioning is posted on the documents page.
- Tournament staff replied by email to applications received by 20 January.
- Teams that participated in the 2009 Liberty Cup are eligible for a $75 discount on the 2010 Liberty Cup, if they did not use the discount for the 2009 Patriot Cup.
- Tournament rules corrected to allow 22 player roster for U16-19 teams.
 

22 December
-
Application form posted on website.  All applications must be delivered to the Tournament Director by 8 PM on 19 February.
- Application fees are $525 for U9-U11 and $625 for U12-U19. U12 teams will have three-man referee crews.
 

October 16th
- The 2010 Liberty Cup Invitational will be held on 27-28 March 2010.  Tournament applications are due by 26 February.
