LDT Updates

3 September

Many thanks to all the teams that made the Labor Day Patriot Cup a great success. The teams completed nearly 290 games, over 100 of which were on artificial turf fields.   From all accounts the weekend was full of outstanding soccer and great sportsmanship.

Congratulations to the champions and finalists!  Complete results are posted under the link on the left.

Thanks as well to the coaches who played in the Blue versus Gold Coaches game, sponsored by Golden Boot Soccer. It was a lively game with many exciting shots, as well as a great opportunity to watch the coaches “practice what they teach.”  Hopefully even more coaches will be able to participate next year.

A few lost and found items were returned and will be held for one week.  Please send lost and found inquiries travel.tournament@fpycsoccer.org.

Don’t forget about the special DC United offer for Sunday Sept. 9th and Wednesday Sept. 14th.  The order form is posted in a link under the Labor Day Menu, and tickets must be ordered by Friday the 7th.

The Thunder Soccer club has invited all Patriot Cup participants to the 6th Annual Thunder Fall Bash Tournament & Festival in November.  A tournament flier was included in the team bags, and details are available at their tournament website (www.thundersoccerclub.org).

We sincerely hope you enjoyed the Labor Day Tournament and will return next year, when we hope to have nearly twice as many turf fields.  Please send any comments on this year’s tournament, or suggestions for next year’s tournament, to travel.tournament@fpycsoccer.org.
