DC United has extended a special offer to the All-Star teams for July 14th (click here for the flier). Champions and Finalists can have their team picture taken with the MLS Cup.
A significant amount of money was found at one of the tournament sites. Please email house.tournament@fpycsoccer.org if you have any information.
We still have tournament t-shirts in youth large, adult large and adult extra large, and you can order one by mailing in an order form. The shirts are $15 each, including shipping and handling. We even have a few of the special U8 t-shirts (youth large, adult large, and adult XL only).
FPYC extends a special invitation for the Labor Day Tournament to any All-Star team that will be travel team this fall. The Labor Day Tournament is great pre-season tune-up for U9 -1U19 boys and girls travel teams because all teams will play four games. The Labor Day Tournament will be the first chance for most teams to play on the new Fairfax County artificial turf fields. Congratulations to the teams and players that participated in this weekend’s All-Star Tournament! It was great to see thousands of young soccer players stretching their team and individual skills against new opponents. Schedules are final as posted on the website. Please check your schedule.
All teams must check-in before their first game. An adult needs to go to the tournament table/tent at ther site at least a half hour before their team’s first game to check the team in. The tournament staff will check the team roster, player cards, and medical release form, all of which the coach must have on-hand during all games.
- The team roster must be signed by the club registrar.
- The player cards must be signed by the player and the registrar, but photos are not required for Virginia teams.
- The medical form must include a guardian’s signature for each player (insurance information is not required).
Teams that checked-in Thursday night can go directly to their first game. They can pick-up their team bags and tournament patches at the tournament table later in the day.
Field closures are unlikely this weekend, but any closures will be posted on the website as soon as possible.
Each All-Star team coach (up to 2 per team) will receive a tournament hat at team check-in. Also, U8 players and coaches (up to 2 per team) will recieve a special tournament t-shirt at team check-in.
June 13th
A few important schedule notes:
The U10B schedule changed after a team withdrew.
The U8B south field schedule for Sunday morning was corrected it incorrectly had teams with back to back games.
Two teams changed places between the 8v8 and 11v11 groups of the U12B Division. Other teams were not affected.
All schedules are final, but teams should check the schedules Friday evening.
The Sunday games for the D Division of the U16/19 age group were correctedon 6/13.

The U8G fields are all very close to each other (Fairfax Villa, Eleven Oaks, and Green Acres). Eleven Oaks ES is now an admin center, while Green Acres ES is now a community center.
The early check-in is from 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM Thursday evening at the FPYC clubhouse, which is in Fairfax City’s Providence Park. Any adult can check-in a team as long as they have the completed medical release form, signed roster, and signed player cards.
Al teams must check-in before their fist game. Teams should allow at least 30 minutes to check-in prior to their game time.
June 12th
The following schedules have been changed: U8G, U10G, U11/12B (8v8), U12 B, U13/14B, and U16/19B. Please make sure your teams have the current schedule.
Thurday’s early check-in is optional, but it is a great way to avoid the rush on Saturday morning. Buying a t-shirt Thursday will ensure you get the size you want before we run out.
Here are answers to a few frequently asked questions:
Primary jerseys must have numbers, but you may have duplicates.
Altenate jerseys do not have to have numbers.
Players may play with a cast, as long as it is sufficiently wrapped to protect the other players. The referee will make that call.
Clubs determine which team is FPYC 1 or FPYC 2, and may make changes. Please ensure your team number (FPYC 2) is on the top of the roster submitted at check-in.
The forecast is for very hot weather. Please ensure the players drink plenty of water. Referees and Tournament Staff may abbreviate games or change the game format to quarters if conditions warrant it. (See tournament rules on inclement weather.)
Be sure to RSVP to Golden Boot for the Coaches Game on Saturday to make sure you get a chance to play.
DC United ticket orders for this weekend are due today.
June 10th
Schedules have been posted under a seperate link on the left) for all 477 teams. Any schedule updates will be posted to the website, and announced in the FDT Updates section. Each schedule link indicates the date of the current schedule.
FPYC and Golden Boot Soccer are jointly hosting a Coaches’ Game Saturday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 at EC Lawrence Park. We invite all coaches, assistant coaches, and club representatives to join us for a friendly game and cold drinks. Please RSVP to Golden Boot Soocer by email (deanna.saracino@goldenbootsoccer.com) before noon on Friday.
The optional early team check-in is Thurday from 7:30 - 9:00 at the FPYC Clubhouse (directions in Clubhouse link). Any team representative can check-in their team. Tournament staff will keep a copy of the team roster, after reviewing the roster, player cards and medical release form. Teams that check-in on Thursday can pick-up their team bag and tournament patches at their tournament site anytime Saturday.
Tournament t-shirts will be sold at the early check-in and at all tournament sites for $15. The t-shirts have the tournament logo on the front, a soccer design on the back, and are available in youth large to adult extra-large. U8 players and coaches will recieve a free t-shirt with a special tournament logo on the front.
DC United ticket orders are due three days ahead of the game (Wednesday for this Saturday’s game), so don’t delay in sending your team order. The order form is in the DC United link on the left.
June 8th
We are still finalizing the schedules, which is taking a while since we have over 470 teams this year and we have had a few late team changes. Schedules should be on the website by Sunday. All age groups will start play at 8:00 Saturday morning.
We will also provide details on the “Coaches Game,” which will be at 7:00 - 8:30 Saturday evening (16 June) at EC Lawrence Park.

We can accept a single team in the following age groups: U8G, U10G, U11G, U12G (11v11), and U13G.
